2006 in NASCAR - The 2006 NASCAR NEXTEL Cup season will begin at Daytona International Speedway on Saturday, February 11 with the Bud Shootout and will end on Sunday, November 19 with the Ford 400 at Homestead-Miami Speedway. The Chase for the Nextel Cup will begin with the Sylvania 300 on Sunday, September 17.
